    ON COURSE NUTRITION UPDATE

    Due to unforeseen transit delays with the planned gels and electrolyte, we will be providing Gu gels on course for the Ultra and Marathon events;https://www.guenergy.com.au/products/energy-gel

     

    Bulk Nutrients electrolyte drink will be supplied on course for the Ultra, Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K. Available at Drink Station 4 (orange flavour) and at the finish line (orange or lemon lime flavour);https://www.bulknutrients.com.au/products/electrolyte-plus/

     

    We will provide an update on the electrolyte drink that will be at the drink stations 2B and 8 on our Facebook event page after 3pm here.

     

    Endura apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. We understand it’s vital that we provide electrolyte and gels as planned.

    COURSE MAP

    The Marathon course takes you on a loop of Parliament and then around Telopea onto Kings Avenue to State Circle.

    From there you’ll run on Adelaide Avenue towards Yarralumla and into Weston Park. You will then follow Aleandrina Dr back towards Commonwealth Ave

    Then, you will run over the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge onto Parkes way and out to the Glenloch Interchange to a turnaround point. You’ll then return on Parkes Way to the Morshead Drive turnaround.

    You’ll then head over Kings Avenue Bridge and complete a second loop of Telopea before heading to the finish line!

    UPGRADE/DOWNGRADE

    • Distances can be changed online here. Distance upgrades/downgrades can be made online up until 28 March 2021.

    CAN I CHANGE MY WAVE?

    • If you decide to start in another wave, you can do so if the wave is not full. No participant can change into Priority or Elite without prior approval.

    CLOTHING STORAGE

    • Clothing storage is available in the Event Village. Look for the ‘Bag Drop’ marquee.

      Your race number features a tear-off strip for you to attach to your backpack or clothing bag. Do not leave any valuables in your bag as we cannot accept responsibility for valuables lost or stolen.

    Note: Any clothes left at the start line will be donated in our charity bin. These won't be available for collection at a later date.

    If you require personal refreshments throughout your race, please drop items off at the Runner’s World marquee on Saturday 10 April between 8am - 2pm. Please ensure your products are clearly labeled with your race bib number and the desired location.

    WHEELCHAIR PARTICIPANTS

    • If you are a racing wheelchair please contact info@solemotive.com to secure your spot. The racing wheelchair wave will start approximately 5 minutes before the official Sole Motive accommodates wheelchairs in our events.

    • If you’re not a Racing Wheelchair Athlete, please start at the back of the final wave in your event.

    CAN I ENTER ON DAY?

      • Onsite entries will be available on Friday and Saturday from the Event Village.
      • There will be no entries on Sunday.

      • There is ample parking within walking distance to the race start and finish area. Public Parking is available at the following locations:

        P1 – Treasury Building car park – access via Langton Crescent

        Saturday (Race Pack Collection)
        P2 – John Gorton Building – Access from Dorthy Tangney Place
        P4 – Questacon Car park – Access via Queen Elizabeth Drive
        P5 – National Gallery – Access from King Edward Terrace via Kings Avenue only

        Sunday

      • P1 – Treasury Building car park – access via Langton Crescent
        P2 – John Gorton Building – Access from Dorthy Tangney Place

      • Please note the Southbound lane on Kings Avenue will be closed for participants.
        If you are driving to the event, please read parking signs carefully to ensure you have parked legally.

       

    PUBLIC TRANSPORT

    • Due to the early start time for the event and road closures please refer to Transport Canberra’s website to plan your journey.

      Please note that there will be no event specific shuttles.

     

    MARATHON PRICING

      • Standard Pricing Ends: 11:59PM, 11 March 2021
      • Last Minute Pricing Ends: 11:59PM, 8 April 2021

       

      Onsite entries available on Friday and Saturday only.

    AGE LIMIT

    • Participants are required to be 18 years of age on the day of the event.

    RACE PACK PICKUP / POSTAGE

    Option 1 –Postage: If you wish to have your race pack posted to you, you must register before 11:59pm, 25 March 2021. Please note, a delivery fee of $8.95 applies.

     

    Option 2 – Pickup at the event site:

     

    If you registered after 11:59pm, 25 March 2021 you must collect your Race Pack at the event site on the following dates:

    Friday 9 April from 3:00pm - 7:00pm,

    Saturday 10 April from 8:00am - 4:00pm

    Sunday 11 April from 5:00am

    K MARKERS

    There will be feather kilometre markers throughout the event. These will be located every 1km.

    PRIZES

    Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers across the line at presentations. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age category and will be posted out post-event.

    You must be in Wave 1 for the chance to place in the top place getters.

      • 2nd Male & 2nd Female – $250
      • 3rd Male & 3rd Female – $150

    PACE GROUPS

    Due to the requirements set out by ACT Health Authorities, at this stage there will be no pacers available in 2021.

     

    If restrictions change we will update participants as soon as the information is available.

    MARATHON PRIORITY START TIMES

    To be granted a priority start you must provide two race results where you have achieved the following times or better within the last 24 months.

     

    • Male – 3hr 15min
      Female – 3hr 30min

    MARATHON CUT OFF TIMES

    • 6:45am: All entrants must have crossed the Start Line
      10:22am: Clear turnaround at Flynn Drive Traffic lights (23.5km)
      11:04am: Reached Half Marathon turnaround on Parkes Way. Runners approachng after cutoff time must turn around on Parkes. They may continue running back, but no official time recorded (28.5km) 12:20pm: Clear Kings Ave Bridge onto Bowen Drive (37.5km)
      1:00pm: Reach Finish Line (42.2km)
