If you can’t find what you’re after, please contact us.
You don’t have to notify Sole Motive (the organiser) if you are unable to run for any reason. However, there are no refunds for non-starters or non-finishers.
We do offer the following:
1. Withdrawal from the event: Withdrawals receive a credit note if they are made before 28 March 2021. An admin fee of $10 will apply. After this date, no credit notes will be issued. Credit notes are valid for 1 year from the date of issuing and valid for Sole Motive owned events and cannot be used for contracted events. Refunds will not be issued. When an entrant registers, they agree to the below terms and conditions;
T&C 13. I agree that there are no refunds, however, I may request a credit note for other Sole Motive owned events – with the exception of the Mother’s Day Classic (minus $10 for admin fees) – no later than 28 March 2021.
2. Downgrade from your race: Event downgrades can be made online up until 28 March 2021. Please email Sole Motive info@solemotive.com or phone (03) 9285 0600.
Refunds/credit notes cannot be issued for the difference in entry fee (if any) when downgrading your distance.
We are committed to providing the safest possible event environment for our participants, volunteers, staff and officials. With the changing situation we ask that you keep up-to-date with the current public exposure sites and advice on how to act if you have been in these locations.
The event is proceeding as planned, in-line with government and health authority guidelines. We will continue to update participants if there are any changes as we get closer to the event.

COVID Postponement terms: Registered participants who entered after November 2020 for events that are postponed due to COVID-19 by the state or local health authorities are automatically transferred to the rescheduled date. For those that the new date does not work, we will allow deferrals to the event in the following year
COVID Cancellation terms: Registered participants who entered after November 2020 for events that are cancelled due to COVID-19 by the state or local health authorities, participants will have the options of either; Transfer to another Sole Motive race within the next 12 months, or refund of your Registration Fees minus administration fee of 10%. Please note, merchant booking fees on the online transaction are non-refundable.
For those who entered before 5 September 2020, for events that are postponed or cancelled due to COVID-19 by the state or local health authorities are automatically transferred to the rescheduled date. For those that the new date does not work, we will allow deferrals to the event in the following year no cancellation, credit note, transfer.
Distances can be changed online here. Distance upgrades/downgrades can be made online up until 25 February 2021.

If you need to update your details you can do so via Register Now.
Please log in and click the cogwheel within your Canberra Times Marathon Festival registration, then click ‘My Registration’. On the next page, click ‘Edit’, update your details and then click ‘Save’.
Please ensure you have checked your junk/spam folder for your confirmation email (e-ticket).
If you can still not locate it, you can log in via Register Now and choose to resend your registration email.
Race bibs for the 2021 event will be posted about 5 weeks before the event. If you have a 2020 race bib, it is no longer required.
All participants must wear a race number. Anyone without a race number will not be permitted to start the event. Please note replacement race numbers for lost race numbers or incorrect addresses will incur a $10 admin fee.
There is a $10 admin fee to transfer your entry into someone else’s name. Please email info@solemotive.com.
Note – the $10 admin fee will be waived until 5:00pm, 28 March 2021.
Option 1 –Postage: If you wish to have your race pack posted to you, you must register before 11:59pm, 25 March 2021. Please note, a delivery fee of $8.95 applies.
Option 2 – Pickup at the event site:
If you registered after 11:59pm, 25 March 2021 you must collect your Race Pack at the event site on the following dates:
Friday 9 April from 3:00pm - 7:00pm,
Saturday 10 April from 8:00am - 4:00pm
Sunday 11 April from 5:00am
If you registered before 25 February 2021, you will be allocated your name on your race bib.
All participants will receive a branded Canberra Times Marathon Festival medal for their chosen distance.
8-week training programs are available for the half marathon, 10K & 5.4K distances. Please head to your distance page to download your training program.
There will be food vendors on site for participants to enjoy a pre or post race meal:

Presentations will not take place due to current COVID-safe restrictions, place getters will receive their awards in the mail.

Bus
Due to the early start time for the event and road closures please visit www.action.act.gov.au for up-to-date information. Please note that there will be no event specific shuttles.
Car
There is ample parking within walking distance to the race start and finish area. Public Parking is available at the following locations:

P1 – Treasury Building car park – access via Langton Crescent
Saturday (Race Pack Collection)
P2 – John Gorton Building – Access from Dorthy Tangney Place
P3 – National Archives car park – Access from Kings Avenue
P4 – Questacon Car park – Access via Queen Elizabeth Drive
P5 – National Gallery – Access from King Edward Terrace via Kings Avenue only
Sunday
P2 – John Gorton Building – Access from Dorthy Tangney Place
P3* – National Archives car park – Access from Kings Avenue
Please note the Southbound lane on Kings Avenue will be closed for participants. To reach P3 please access Kings Avenue from State Circle.
If you are driving to the event, please read parking signs carefully to ensure you have parked legally.
Clothing storage is available in the Event Village – look for the ‘Bag Drop’ marquee.
Your race number features a tear-off strip for you to attach to your backpack or clothing bag. Do not leave any valuables in your bag as we cannot accept responsibility for valuables lost or stolen.
We no longer offer single-use plastic bags at the bag drop, so please remember to bring your own bag to the event.
All events will start from King George Terrace and finish at West Lawns.
Start times
Wave Start Zones will be in place at the start line of each race to ensure a smooth start for all participants.
Entrants are asked to assemble in the appropriate zone as indicated by the letter printed on their race bib.
We strongly discourage the use of headphones on the course. If you do choose to use headphones while running, please ensure that you are still able to hear what is happening around you.
No personal support riders or bike riders within the vicinity of runners are permitted on course. It is the responsibility of each athlete while running to ensure that no bikes are on the course near the runners. Any transgression will result in disqualification from the event.

All animals are strictly prohibited from entering any part of the course at any time. Guide dogs are allowed.
Prams are permitted in all events – please start at the back of your wave for safety reasons.
All runners will be timed. All participants must wear their Race Bib in order to receive an official time. Your Race Bib contains your unique timing chip.
Please wear your race bib on the front of your top and ensure it is visible.
Net time is the time the participant crosses the start line until they cross the finish line. This is how results are displayed on the website, and will be used to award aged category places. These times are for participant information only and are not used to determine place getters. Place getters are determined by gun time – the first three male and females across the finish line. You must be in Wave 1 for the chance to place in the top place getters.
Live results will be available online on race day.
Participants who have nominated to receive SMS results and have paid an additional $2 will receive their results SMS on the evening of the event, and finishers will receive a certificate via email.
You can also order an iTAB to personalise your medal with your name and finish time. Just make sure the iTAB option is selected when you register for your event – then after the event, you’ll receive your iTAB in the mail.
If you are a racing wheelchair please contact info@solemotive.com to secure your spot. The racing wheelchair wave will start approximately 10 minutes before the official Sole Motive accommodates wheelchairs in our events. If you’re not a Racing Wheelchair Athlete, please start at the back of the final wave in your event.
Your credit card transaction will be displayed as ‘Sole Motive’.
The use of any type of drone or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is prohibited at the Event. Any person using a drone or UAV may be disqualified from the Event.
